21 Park
House is right in the midst of bustling West
Kirby with its many café bars, restaurants, shops and
outdoor attractions such as the beach, marine lake, golf
courses and parks.
|
For the leisure visitor West Kirby is a great
base to access a wide range of enticing activities,
attractions and locations. These include Hilbre Island, a
nature lovers paradise with its many unusual species and
stunning setting, West Kirby Marine Lake – host of the
Windsurfing World Championship & Wilson Trophy – and of
course the Royal Liverpool Golf Course, home to the 2006 Open
Championship.
West Kirby is a beautiful area to
explore by foot, with access to miles of sandy coastline and
many inland walks; for instance along the old disused railway
track to Chester known as the Wirral Way and up onto heather
and tree covered hills with panoramic views across to North
Wales and Liverpool.
Across the Mersey we have
Liverpool, the 2008 Capital of Culture, which has lots to
offer including world famous art galleries such as the Tate
and Walker, the Beatles and World Museums, maritime history at
the Albert Docks, a variety of shopping and, of course,
football.
The nearby historic town of Chester is also
well worth a visit with its well preserved Roman Heritage,
unique shopping in the medieval Rows and Chester Zoo. North
Wales is also easily accessed from West Kirby for those
looking to get further afield and enjoy the Welsh
mountains.
